Radio locating systems

We have SENSE Radio Locating Systems in stock. These are technically advanced electronic devices. The latest models exceed many competitive devices on the market due to the high price-quality ratio.

We have several models available, which differ in parameters and possibilities. Below is a description of each of them. All of them have modern per mille probes and have a module that enables fast and precise drilling in the “drilling to target” mode.

The “drilling to target” feature enables uninterrupted operation with the possibility of continuous probe position measurement by the drilling rig operator. On the screen of his or her monitor, the drilling rig operator sees all the parameters enabling them to exit the pilot rod at the intended point at the desired depth, without having to consult a second operator.

In this mode, the operator puts the device ahead several or more meters and is able to hit the intended target without the commands of the second operator (navigator).

An additional function of the device is the ability to generate and export as-built tables which is helpful in generating a final report.

• SNS-1t single frequency (12 kHz) with mini per mille probe
• SNS-2t two frequencies, per mille probe (12, 30 kHz)
• SNS-7t multifrequency, per mille probe (2, 8, 12, 18, 24, 30, 41 kHz)
• SNS-8t Hybrid (2, 8, 12, 18, 24, 30, 41 kHz), per mille system with the additional function of locating underground utilities with an inductive signal generator included

Standard probes:

• Sonda SNS-t. Seven-frequency per mille probe, with programming mode for signal strength up to 15, 25 and 35m and with sleep mode. 24 clock (angle) positions. This is a standard probe for SNS-2t, SNS-7t, SNS-8t locators. It works with many HDD drilling rigs as well as directional pipe jacking machines such as MNB-50 (check it out on our website).
  • Standard probe dimensions: Ø32x380mm. Fits most probe housings from different manufacturers.

• Mini sondy MSt1 / MSt2.  per mille (0.1%) probes with a range of up to 6m depth. These are mainly used in mini pipe-jacking machines, e.g. the UM-20 (check it out on our website in the section Pipe Jacking).
  • Model MSt1 (12 kHz). Mini per mille probe, works with the SNS-1t locating system. Dimensions Ø15x205mm (battery 1xAA, working time up to 20h)
  • Model MSt2 (12 + 30 kHz). Mini per mille probe, works with the SNS-1t, SNS-2t, SNS-7t, SNS-8t locating systems. Dimensions Ø22x205mm (battery 1xAA, working time up to 20h)

The frequency of the probes can be changed in two ways. On the surface or underground. Frequency switching when the probe is underground occurs after switching function on the operator’s monitor. The change occurs after a special combination of setting the probes “time” according to the instructions appearing on the operator’s monitor.

Older HDD navigation models from SENSE:

• SNS-200PROn – single frequency (12kHz)
• SNS-200t two frequency (12, 30 kHz)
• SNS-300t multi-frequency (2, 8, 12, 18, 24, 30, 41 kHz)

Older generation probes

• SNS-200PROn probe – single frequency (12kHz) with the range/depth of up to 15 meters.
• SNS-300 Probe with seven frequencies (2, 8, 12, 18, 24, 30, 41 kHz) and a range of up to 25 meters.

Compared to older models, newer generation devices have additional functions to improve the pilot drilling process and have a menu in English. However, all models are in continuous production and enjoy an excellent opinion from users.

SNS-1t

Excellent radio locating system especially for guided and directional pipe jacking machines, and also for HDD Drilling Rigs. They have the lowest price but they offer not so small possibilities.

SNS-2t

This is the most popular and selling radio locating system for HDD drilling rigs and directional pipe jacking machines.

Essential features

• Two frequencies 12 kHz and 30 kHz.
• In set with standard probe (emitter) with the range of 35 m of depth
• Disruption and interference measuring feature for choosing optimal frequency for particular object.
• Precision of measuring of the probe’s inclination: 0,1% (permille)
• Feature allowing fast and precise “drilling to target”.
• No need to move the receiver constantly and follow the pilot head.
• Generation of “as installed” protocols
• Wireless transmission of data to the computer
• Range between the monitor and the receiver: 400 meters without additional retransmitter Possible significant increase in distance (by many times)

Radio locating system for horizontal drilling rigs and directional pipe jacking machines. In addition to high reliability, it has a built-in underground utility location module (cables, wires, steel pipes, cast iron pipes and other metal materials with a linear structure)
